Autumn Ride Around Tirana – Peza Park Journey

There’s something magical about cycling through the hills around Tirana in early autumn — the light is softer, the air crisp, and the roads are alive with stories.

Leaving the city behind, I followed the winding rural roads that snake through olive groves, quiet villages, and open fields. The journey felt timeless — every turn revealed another piece of Albania’s heart: stone bunkers resting under blue skies, horses grazing in meadows, and locals gathering autumn fruits.

As the sun climbed higher, the scent of pines and soil filled the air. My route took me past gentle hills and small farms where donkeys rested in the warmth of the day. The distant mountain outlines framed the horizon — a serene reminder of how close nature still is to the capital.

Reaching Peza Park, I paused for a simple picnic beneath the shade of tall trees. The leaves whispered softly in the breeze while the road stretched quietly ahead — a perfect place to breathe, reflect, and enjoy the ride without hurry.

This ride was not about speed or records — it was about presence. About slowing down to notice the texture of the land, the glint of sunlight on the handlebars, and the simple beauty of everyday Albania.
