Route & Highlights:

1. Skanderbeg Square – Begin in the heart of the city, encircled by the National History Museum, Et'hem Bey Mosque, Opera House, and modern government buildings. Learn about Albania’s transformation from empire to dictatorship to democracy.

2. Museum Stops – Visit or pass by the National Museum, the moving House of Leaves (Secret Surveillance Museum), and one of the Bunk’Art museums (choose Bunk'Art 2 for city center access).

3. The Pyramid & Youth Park – Cycle past the symbolic Pyramid, through Youth Park, once a propaganda space, now a popular gathering area for locals.

4. Lana River & Tanners’ Bridge – Follow the shaded path along the Lana River to the Tanners’ Bridge, a relic of the Ottoman trade routes.

5. Blloku District & Enver Hoxha’s Villa – Explore the elite former Communist neighborhood, once off-limits, now buzzing with cafes and life. Stop for stories outside Enver Hoxha’s Villa.

6. Murat Toptani Street & Pazari i Ri (New Bazaar) – Pedal through the pedestrian Murat Toptani Street and pause at Pazari i Ri, the colorful market full of fresh flavors and artisan goods.

7. Street Art & Urban Renewal – Dive into hidden alleys showcasing murals, graffiti, and modern art projects — your guide will show you lesser-known creative corners.

8. Painted Tank & Old Locomotive – Discover a Soviet-era tank turned art piece along the New Boulevard, and visit the nostalgic old train locomotive nearby — symbols of Albania's complex 20th-century journey.

9. Remains of Communist Prisons – Pause across from the Prime Minister’s Office to see chilling remnants of interrogation and imprisonment buildings, preserved as reminders of the regime.

10. Grand Park & Artificial Lake – Escape the urban energy with a ride into Tirana’s largest green space, cycling around the lake, under pine trees, and passing locals walking, rowing, or enjoying coffee at lakeside cafes.

Optional Extension: For active riders, the guide can extend the route to include Farka Lake or ride up to Bunk'Art 1 and Mount Dajti cable car base.
